3 Types of glass for windows.

Our clients do not leave the choice of glass to chance, as if we have chosen an excellent profile, the choice of glass is no less important, as it will determine the level of thermal, acoustic, and security.

1.-Thermal chambered glass: These are treated with a thermal process that enhances the insulation of our window against heat and cold. In other words, it requires less heating and maintains the temperature for a longer period.
There are two types of thermal glass. One has thermal treatment on the inner glass layer of the residence, known as Low-E glass. The second type has thermal treatment on both the inner and outer layers of the glass and is called selective or Guardian Sun glass. Its use is recommended for south-facing windows where summer heat is intense. If your window faces north, the heat that may enter during winter is desired for heating purposes.

2.-Acoustic glass: When choosing glass with acoustic treatment, it is important to consider the most suitable profiles. A sliding window is not recommended for noise issues, unlike a hinged window due to its double or triple sealing joint.
Another significant factor is the blinds. These act as a resonance box, so it's crucial to consider the variations in blind boxes. Currently, there is an option for an acoustic box to minimize sound transmission.

3.-Safety glass: If you are not satisfied with a high-quality PVC window, increasing the closure points, you can perfectly complement it with laminated safety glass. We offer different security levels, such as physical security 3+3 (designed for small impacts), laminated safety glass 6+6 (anti-theft security), or bulletproof glass. The thicker the glass, the more secure it will be. These glasses can also have a chamber with thermal or acoustic treatment, or both in a single glass. This type of glass should always be accompanied by an improvement in the type of window hardware, as different security levels are available for the hardware as well. This can extend to high-security systems such as the RC2 system.
